Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Who/when/where- For elementary age students. We meet Sundays from 9:30- 11:45 am. with Bible Study hour and Kids Worship hour. We also have a Kids Bible Study on Wednesdays from 6:30 -7:30! We meet on the Shively Kids Floor of the Education Wing of the main building.

Our Shively Kids Wing is fast growing in both number of students and relationship with the Lord! Our goals is to connect with students with a loving Savior and familiarize them them with reading God's Word. Our main focus is to help students grow in their knowledge of God's Word, as well as develop the foundation of authentic faith in Jesus.

On a typical Sunday morning, a child will experience their own age appropriate Bible Study at 9:30, complete with time for play, snack, and a Gospel focused lesson. During the 10:45 worship hour, kids will take part in an age appropriate worship hour filled with songs, dancing, a lesson, and craft or lesson enhancing activity!

We use the "Explore the Bible" curriculum which takes students through a full journey of life application Bible learning. This curriculum will introduce students to every book of the Bible, and by the end of three years, a student will have been through every book and be able to say the books in order!

All of our volunteers have passed a background check and are selectively chosen because they love kids, love the Lord, and seek to connect the two passions! Each of our volunteers has their own style and flair they bring to the lessons and songs.

If you have any questions about this ministry, please feel free to contact our Children and Family Ministry Coordinator, Amanda Barbour, at the office (502)-447-3336, or email her at
