Growing together.
Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.
Who/When/Where- For Middle and High-school Students. We meet Sunday Mornings from 9:30-10:15 (doors open at 9:15), Wednesday evenings 6:30-8pm. (doors open at 6). We meet in the Student Ministry building (The Hub) located directly across Kendall Lane from the main building! Inside we have plenty of games and activities, including a Pool table, Ping-Pong, Video games, and more! Each student is also welcome to our snacks and fridge full of soda and water!
The Goal of Shively Student Ministry is very simple, we want students to grow in their knowledge of God's Word, their relationship with Jesus, in their understanding of who God made them to be, and to be side by side with other students.
Although we have plenty of fun, our number one focus is to develop students to be best prepared to deal with the pressures of the world and the struggles around them in their daily life, while traininig them to be future leaders in the church!
On a typical Sunday, our lessons begin with sharing Highs and Lows of the week. We follow that up with a Bible Study Method called 3/3rds where we Look at God's Word, look at the meaning and share thoughts. We then look forward and make plans to apply that lesson to our week, as well as pick one person to share the passage with.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Student and Family Minister, Amanda Barbour, by email or call the office! amanda@shivelychristian.com or (502)-447-3336
